An Interesting History
A Unique Present
A Promising Future

It all started as a hobby for our dad, Ernie Guzman. He owned a family of auto dealerships in Houston and was wanting a place that was close by, but felt years away from the fast-paced life we lived in the city. Ideally, a weekend retreat nestled in the rolling hills among Washington county’s famed equestrian ranches. He found our Shangri-la outside Independence, Texas, the town where Sam Houston lived in the 1850’s, and named it Guzman’s 2N’s Ranch after my sister Natalie and myself (Nicci).

Dad loved cutting horses, I loved barrel racing and we all loved riding western pleasure. Mom (Bea Guzman), has always been the super hostess that Natalie and I have always strived to match. She loves to entertain and cook authentic home cooked meals for friends and family and that hospitality pervades the spirit of the entire ranch. We’ve now been here over two decades, have grown as a family, and the ranch has grown with us.

Our facilities now include:

  • Dressage stabling, training and exhibitions.

  • Performance Breeding Facility.

  • A 3 bedroom lodge for overnight accommodations.

  • Indoor and outdoor arenas.

We love the place and know you will, too!
